Aunty Joy Keahi Mills Memorial Surf Day 2024

Join us for a very special  Surf Day Event in memory of Aunty Joy Keahi Mills

We are extremely excited to announce our 6th Annual Aunty Joy Keahi Mills Memorial Therapeutic Surf Day Event at Kahalu'u Beach Park.

This free community outreach event enables people with disabilities to safely access the beach and surf. It’s made possible by amazing professional volunteers from the community, including watermen and women from Hawaii County Ocean Safety, professional surf schools, the Hawaii County Fire Department, and volunteers from the Department of Education and various non-profits.

We are holding this event with a maximum limit of 50 S4SN participants (surf riders) for the day.  We do apologize but this year we are not able to accommodate siblings for our water/surf experience. 

We have amazing land activities available for the entire family to enjoy, thanks to our community volunteers and local business sponsors.

*Participants for Surf must register with S4SN here online. Registration is on a first come first serve until we reach our limit. Any additional  RSVP requests for attendance will be placed on a waitlist. In the event of a participant cancellation, the waitlistee will be contacted in order of wait list request received.

Surf Day is a 100% Free community event thanks to our community of supporters. S4SN will be holding a Canned Food Drive for Hawaii Island Food Basket.  We are asking our participants to consider making a canned food non-perishable donation for the day.
